about

560 years ago, on September 20th of 1459, Vlad III Draculea -known as the Son of the Devil and the Impaler- named himself Lord and Ruler all over Wallachia. He established its power at Curtea Veche fortress in Bucarest.
This event is considered a milestone in his turbulent and relevant rule.
Viewed as a brutal and sadistic nobleman by his enemies, Vlad III is also pointed as an ardent practitioner of his beliefs; a defiant warlord and a brave fighter in a ruthless era.
Its persona left a strong trail on medieval and modern western culture.

Since ever, Vlad III Draculea became an appealing figure to Kazeria because of its enigmatic, complex, grim and deep features, moving from history to myth and back. All full of a strong symbolism and drama to be expressed by art and aesthetics.

"Voivod" is a split EP by Kazeria and [S]´s new and rawer side project Ördo. It entwines visions and styles, referring to Vlad III. Through out martial and violent, harsh sounds and as ominous as evocating, both acts express all that this character means to them.
